These chatbots are similar to automated phone menus that we use almost every day. They require users to make multiple selections in order to find the answer.
These chatbots can answer FAQs, which make up 80% of support questions. However, they are not able to handle more complex scenarios where there are too many variables and too much knowledge to be able to predict how users will get specific answers. It takes the longest for chatbots that are menu- or button-based to reach the desired value.
